NOTE: This is one of three styles of the Ambassador model shown in the vintage ads for 1929. This simpler version is later seen as the Envoy, also in 1929. The other two 1929 Ambassadors have ornate engraving on the case--one with two rows of horizontal bezel engraving (1929 Ambassador), and one with only one row of horizontal bezel engraving (1929 Ambassador)
This watch has a couple of interesting features. One is the engraved design on the back of the case, which is rarely seen. The other is the unusual raised gold design in the center of the dial, most often seen in very early ladies' watches, but also seen in the ad for the 1928 Templar.
