NOTES: I had this watch labeled as a Trident for years on the assumption that we just hadn't yet found an advertisement showing a Trident with an engraved bezel. Then, my friend Bob Butler found an advertisement from 1932 naming this watch the Lone Eagle. I assumed that to be an error in the ad, as the watch clearly looks like a Trident, which was a popular watch at the time. But Bob kept looking and eventually found another ad from 1933 confirming this watch as a Lone Eagle. So, we have two different advertisements from two different years telling us this watch is a Lone Eagle model that we heretofore knew nothing about. What a great find, Bob! Thanks for sharing it with me.
This watch takes its place as the fourth known model in the Lone Eagle series.
