NOTES: This watch takes the same crystal as the watch in my collection identified as the Monogram. That ID was made based on the belief that the Kirkwood takes a larger crystal, but it does not. Apparently, the crystal listed in the 1937 G-S Catalog for the Kirkwood--which is not the same crystal used by this watch--applies only to the earlier version of the Kirkwood, which can be viewed here: 1931 Kirkwood. This slightly later version of the Kirkwood takes the crystal identified as belonging to the Monogram in the 1937 G-S Crystal Catalog. That leads to the possibility that the watch I have identified as the Monogram is really another Kirkwood, just with slightly different features from this example, typical of watches in the mid-1930s.
