NOTES: The case serial number on this watch does not work as a dating mechanism. Not only is the serial number six digits rather than the normal seven, but the leading "1" of the serial number would indicate a case date of 1931, and that makes no sense given the style of the case. This semi-baguette style did not exist in 1931. Moreover, I have a second example of this same model, and it also has a six-digit case serial number beginning with "1" and a movement dating to 1935. That seems too conincidental to not have been intentional. The reason for this anomoly is unknown, but I have no doubt that 1935 is the proper date assessment for this watch.
