NOTES: This watch has a 7-jewel movement, not often seen in men's models. I now have a yellow gold version of this same model, also dated 1936. The advertisement excerpt included below, showing this watch as the Alexander, was part of a much larger ad that included eleven different models. All but two of the models had a jewel count displayed, and all those jewel counts were 15 and higher. The two watches that did not include a jewel count were the Alexander and the Horatio. The Horatio is known from other advertisements to have a 7-jewel movement. I believe that it is reasonable to conclude that the Alexander also has a 7-jewel movement, which is why that information was ommitted from the ad. Apart from the jewel count, the image also appears to be a match for this watch.
UPDATE: I now have a second example of the Alexander in white gold, which is shown below. This one includes the matching bracelet. Instead of the 10AR movement included in my other two Alexanders, this example has a 10AB 7-jewel movement. The movement has the date code for 1934, while the case has a six-digit serial number of "555845".
